Storyline/Plot
Wade Wilson works as a mercenary on the side. He falls in love after meeting Vanessa. His life is perfect until he receives a terminal cancer diagnosis. When all seems hopeless, a man shows up and claims that he may be treated by a therapy that will grant him superhuman abilities. Wilson first rejects him, but eventually agrees and meets Ajax, the project’s creator.
He learns during the course of the therapy that he will become a mutant and that he would have to go through a number of excruciating tests to find out what his mutant talents are.
Ajax is also a sadist. Wilson gains the ability to heal more quickly as a result of the procedure, but he also suffers severe disfigurement. He escapes despite Ajax’s best efforts to keep him imprisoned.
